![]() I think it would be a travesty to not have the chaos wastes in some form in mortal empires connected. I don't understand why they don't just do a 2-D circular-style map with the chaos wastes at the center? the current Warhammer 3 map is designed for it anyways. A true globe style solution would be absolutly epic, though. ![]() Factions on maps (like southern lustria or araby) where you do not have a settlement or army could be calculated in a more resource effective manner, speeding up the end turn phase.Īt least that is my two cents on the immortal empires map. I could see another plus for the Empire:Total War style solution in better load times: You dont have to wait for every move of every faction. ![]() With a zoomable globe style solution (think dyson sphere project) which will very likely not happen (sadly).Ī Empire:Total War style solution, where you had different rectangular maps connected to each other at certain points.Ī warped mercantor projection (or other "rectancular" projections, like cylindical equal area) would look weird on the scale i hope to see for immortal empires.Ī plus for the Empire:Total War style solution with smaller maps for every continent (Ulthuan, Naggarond, Araby, Empire and Southlands for example) would make for less "crunched" and warped maps to give the player a better sense of the Warhammer scale. I really, really hope they are going either:
